Student of the month

Leland has set an important goal for himself: to graduate from Lovell High School. When Leland first moved to Lovell and started at LHS, he wasn’t sure what to think of us, but he stuck with us. We developed a relationship built on mutual respect and shared goals. He is committed to that goal and works toward it every day. His perseverance, improved attitude, and determination deserve to be recognized. His work ethic sets a positive example to those around him. He is always willing to take on the “relentless pursuit of an outcome” to pass his classes.

His teachers have also noticed his tremendous growth.

Megan Wilson shared, “It has been a pleasure watching Leland grow in his confidence since enrolling at LHS. I have no doubt he will accomplish his goal of graduating as an LHS Bulldog. With his positive attitude and ability to achieve goals, I believe he can do anything he desires in life.”

Jode Kraft said, “I really enjoy having Leland in my Personal Finance class. He is polite and gets right to work each day. He sets a good example for his peers and wants to learn.”

Nicholas Crosby added, “Leland has a great attitude and works very hard to stay on top of things and be successful at school.”

Mrs. Hernandez said, “Leland has such a fun personality, and I appreciate that he always tries his best and is willing to accept help along the way to meeting his goals. I’m so happy to see the progress he’s made the last three years.”

Mrs. Walker said, “Watching the change that has happened for Leland over the last few years has been awesome. In class, Leland has become a conscientious and teachable student who values learning and improving. I have thoroughly enjoyed having Leland in class.”

Ms. Teter said, “Leland is one of the hardest-working students I have ever known. He refuses to let anything keep him down and approaches every challenge with determination. His smile, quiet sense of humor, and calm, steady presence positively influence those around him. He is a natural motivator and an excellent example who encourages his peers to work hard and stay on task.”

 Leland’s growth is a wonderful example of what can happen when a student remains determined and continues working toward a goal. We are proud of the progress he has made and look forward to watching him achieve his goal of graduating as a Lovell High School Bulldog.
