Principal's Corner

It is an honor to serve you as your high school principal, and I am looking forward to getting to know the students and families of the Lovell community. It is my hope that you will feel comfortable reaching out to me with questions or ideas so that we can collaborate in service of doing the very best for our students. It is my goal that every diploma earned represents the very best education which will prepare our young people for productive and contributing adult lives.

This is my 18th year serving public education, and 8th year as an administrator. While Wisconsin is home in the sense that my entire family still resides there, Wyoming has stolen my heart and is home. I love the raging landscapes and the rawness of the mountains. I was raised in Wisconsin and earned my bachelor's degree in mathematics from Michigan Technological University. Upon graduating, I was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force. I served for four years at Grand Forks AFB, ND. I joined the South Dakota Army National Guard and served for six more years. Once my daughters were born, I decided to leave the military and pursue a career in education. I earned my master's degree in secondary education from University of Phoenix. In 2010, I began the journey to earn my doctorate in educational leadership with emphasis on curriculum and instruction. I graduated in 2015 when my daughters were 10 and 12 years old.  They are now 21 and 23, and my granddaughter Adeline is 13 weeks old at the time that I write this.

Serving public education is as important to me as my service to my country. I believe that the work we do in public education serves our country as well, and I am proud to be a part of a team that shows up every day in service to others and to the future generations of our nation.
